Tonight's guest on The Daily Show is Louis C.K. and the panelists on The Nightly Show are Jerrod Carmichael, Craig Robinson, and Ricky Velez.
Louis C.K. is a comedian, actor, writer, producer, director and editor. He is the creator, star, writer, director, executive producer and primary editor of the acclaimed FX comedy series Louie. He has had supporting acting roles in films such as The Invention of Lying, American Hustle, and Blue Jasmine. C.K. is also noted for being among the first performers to offer direct-to-fan sales of tickets to his stand-up shows, as well as DRM-free video concert downloads, via his website.
This is should be a fun segment, he and Jon are old friends.Louis C.K. briefly traded the Comedy Cellar for a New York state budget meeting as the comedian spent the past few days shadowing New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for a potential new project. The New York Times reports that C.K. accompanied the mayor to a community policy rally in Brownsville, Brooklyn, taking notes and photographs of de Blasio's actions.When asked why he was following de Blasio around, C.K. was vague, simply telling reporters, "I'm just messing around with something, and we'll see what happens." However, a mayoral subplot won't be heading to his FX series Louie as C.K. admitted, "It's for a possible new idea. I have no idea if it's going to happen."Louis C.K. Tonight's favorite Jon moment is when he confronted Jim Cramer on his role in giving out bad financial advice. Jon came prepared with the facts and evidence and Cramer came with a smirk that soon disappeared. Jon's interviews were all over the map, often he lobbed softballs but when he wanted to do a serious segment he did it extraordinarily well. If Meet The Press hit half as hard as this interview, this country would be far more informed. I will link to all three parts, it really gets going in part 2.
